Trump Is Using COVID-19 To Cause More Racial Division In The US
At 8:52 AM on July 7, 2020 Donald trump once again posted a blatant racist Tweet against Chinese people calling the coronavirus (also known as COVID-19) the “China Virus”. This is not the first time trump has used the term to describe COVID-19 and what are people in the comments of his Tweets doing? Complaining about the virus instead of the blatant racism coming from within the White House. They are not mass reporting his Tweets for hatred towards a protected minority group and all the while trump is continuing to use the coronavirus to spread hatred and discrimination towards another minority group of color.
There have been multiple reports of attacks on people who are Asian Americans since April 2020 and that fuel is being fed from the White House every time trump calls the virus the “China Virus” but people are not focusing on that at all. trump is using COVID-19 for his own personal gain by causing more division and hatred.
How long are people going to turn a blind eye to this? It’s only a matter of time before people who are Asian Americans are going to start being killed next because people want to focus on the wrong things and not the blatant racism trump is posting on Twitter.
He is using COVID-19 as a distraction and people are playing right into his hands and not calling him out on his racist remarks of calling the virus the “China Virus”.
