I have had people tell me to go back to where I came from cause I am Puerto Rican. I was born in San Diego. People can say let shit go all you want but that’s normalizing wrongful behavior & makes all who follow the person or are silent or think it’s no big deal are complicit in it.

The more empowered these people feel the more dangerous they become, like my mother’s homophobic appearing right because I’m not with Shawn Suleiman empowers my mother’s husband and his religious homophobic fellowship. These people who are racist or homophobic or whatever don’t need their victims feel empowered, they just need those who are like minded to empower them. With my mother’s husband religious homophobes, they have their physical evidence homosexuality is sinful.

We are living in a dangerous time where we need to learn we have to be careful what we empower. Silence has always been complicity, the Holocaust should have taught us that but people don’t learn from history apparently.
