I don’t know which is worse, the fact that for almost 4 years a homophobe has been appearing right or those who encourage me to be complicit in homophobia and tell me to let the homophobe appear right.

Over 3 years ago a homophobe told me that his deity would not answer my prayers that I would get with this guy I am in love with because his deity doesn’t approve of homosexual relationships and since then I have put up with people calling me obsessive for loving this man while pretty much screaming for justice while people make excuses for the homophobe appearing right, one including that even if I got with the guy that the homophobe would still deny that he is wrong.

First and foremost, no one knows if me proving this homophobe wrong will change the homophobe’s mind or not, that is an uncertainty, that is nothing more than an opinion that has no bases in fact. Just because a lot of homophobic people are stubborn doesn’t mean all are. And even if the homophobe did not change his mind after being proven wrong he’d still be proven wrong. End of discussion.

As it is for almost four years now this homophobe has been proven right as I am still not with the guy and that has consequences that people want to ignore. First off it empowers the homophobe to say he has physical evidence that homosexuality is a sin as I am not with the guy as he claimed I would not be and that only emboldens his ignorant belief along with his fellow Evangelical Christians.

Look at how much these people are succeeding because they believe they are right and no one does anything, just ignores and encourages letting them appear right, there has been a rise in people being uncomfortable with LGBT+, they elect government officials who endorse hate groups that are wanting to recriminalize homosexuality, sterilize transgenders, take away same-sex marriage and deny basic human rights to LGBT+. There has also been a rise in hate crimes on LGBT+, especially African American transgenders.

This ignorant ideology is what led to the rise of Hitler back in the 1940s and the Holocaust because people ignored the warning signs, including the US who turned away the Jewish people trying to flee for sanctuary. People need to learn from history or we are doomed to repeat it.
